Optical 3D measurement of micro injection holes using Vertical Focus Probing

In this measurement report, the µCMM measuring instrument with the Advanced Real3D Unit is used to measure the shape and position of injection microholes. Until now, geometries such as micro holes of e.g. injection valves could not be measured optically. This is changing with Vertical Focus Probing. The new technology makes it possible to optically probe lateral surfaces and measure flanks larger than 90°.
