Mobile, high resolution measurement

IF-PortableRL is an optical 3D measurement system for quality assurance of micro structured surfaces. Users verify measurement fields of up to (mm) 50x50x25. The system is applied for both curved and flat components. A battery pack allows a flexible use and mobile positioning, enabling the use of the system wherever needed. A large vertical scanning range allows the measurement of various geometry types and forms. Amongst others, fields of use are platen inspection, asphalt measurement, quality assurance of turbine or rotor blades, 3D measurement of steel and body parts.

Alicona measurement systems offer the functionalities of a surface- as well as a coordinate measurement system combined into one system. As a result, your quality assurance becomes more cost effective, is easier to execute and delivers results more efficiently.

Measurement of 
steep flanks

Light coming from different directions is
used to positively influence a
measurement. In addition, the
measurement of the maximum flank
angle is not restricted by the numerical
aperture. Depending on surface, you can
measure up to 87°.

Measure components with varying surface finishes

Due to Alicona’s intelligent lightning technology quick and intuitive measurement of materials with varying surface characteristics or reflections patterns becomes possible. Modulated light provides optimal illumination throughout the whole measurement area.

FOCUS-VARIATION TECHNOLOGY

Focus-Variation combines the small depth of focus of an optical system with vertical scanning to provide topographical and color information from the variation of focus. The main component of the system is a precision optic containing various lens systems that can be equipped with different objectives, allowing measurements with different resolution.
