Alicona’s high-resolution optical 3D metrology combined with a six-axis robot allows for automated quality assurance. With the Alicona robot solutions users are able to measure the surface of large components during production process or directly in the machine. Users benefit from a fast and simple integration of the 3D sensor in existing systems and the robust technology of Focus-Variation.

Wheeled design of portable robot makes it flexible to use in a variety of places
 - tools can be measured directly in the machine

Measurement of long and large tools with a shaft of up to 1m length.

FOCUS-VARIATION TECHNOLOGY

Focus-Variation combines the small depth of focus of an optical system with vertical scanning to provide topographical and color information from the variation of focus. The main component of the system is a precision optic containing various lens systems that can be equipped with different objectives, allowing measurements with different resolution.
