Additionally to 3D surface measurement in research, InfiniteFocus is also used for industrial quality assurance in production. Each measurement system for in-process surface measurement is based on Focus-Variation. The robust technology delivers repeatable and traceable results also in a production environment. Operators use the InfiniteFocus systems to measure form and roughness of components.





   


The EN ISO certified technique of  Focus-Variation combines the traditional surface metrology with the micro coordinate measurement technology. The robust technology handles even production conditions such as temperature or ambient light and achieves reliable measurements including data to evaluate the measurement uncertainty. Form and roughness of even complex geometries with steep flanks and varying material characteristics are measured with a vertical resolution of up to 10nm.
