InfiniteFocus in paper and print industry

InfiniteFocus directly measures paper smoothness in 3D. Measures for enhancing printability are thus numerically evaluable. Measurement results in true color information enable an easy, quick and transparent error analysis of print images. In the print industry InfiniteFocus is used for cup measurement on platens.

Optimize measures for surface finishing

  • determine the paper’s homogeneity and establish a correlation between smoothness and printability
  • measure paper topography directly, area based and in 3D via roughness measurement
  • verify smoothness with topographic parameters
  • evaluate measures for increasing paper’s smoothness such as calendaring on a numerical basis
